I made the same mistake. Early on, I fumbled around with unprofitable side hustles—mainly because they weren’t aligned with the skills I had already spent decades refining. I was trying to force things instead of leveraging what I already knew. The turning point? I sat down and got brutally honest about what I was actually good at. 👉 After 20+ years in banking, I had become a subject matter expert in personal finance—mortgages, investing, retirement and estate planning - all of it. As soon as I put those pieces together, everything changed. My business took off.
